Soulkyn is home to a playful and engaged community. It’s a collective of creatives fueled by experimentation, shared passion, and consistently good vibes. To keep our community inspired, the platform hosts monthly Kyn Creation Contests. The premise is simple: we publish a prompt, and the community runs with it, designing unique and imaginative kyns that make judging the winners very difficult indeed.

From historical icons to festive celebrations, each new contest introduces a fresh prompt that challenges our competitors’ storytelling and design skills. It’s incredible to see the diverse ways that each prompt is interpreted by the community. Some competitors create AI companions that are romantic and whimsical, while others branch out and design wild furry AI characters or a hyper-realistic AI girlfriend complete with her own lore. These contests act as a monthly AI character design challenge, encouraging creators to push their imagination further. The result is a collection of kyns that showcase just how creative our community can be.

How to Create a winning kyn

Entering our Kyn Creation Contest is simple. Each month, we announce our new theme, and you are invited to design a new persona to fit the prompt. For newcomers, here’s a rundown of what we take into account when selecting the winning kyns:

Originality: Take the theme and interpret it through your own unique lens. We love seeing how your creative brain works!
Appearance & Aesthetics: Let the theme of the prompt reflect in every detail of your character’s costume and visual style. The best AI contest entries are those that encompass the spirit of the theme.
Personality & Background: Invest some time into creating your character’s personality and background. They should feel dynamic, grounded, and exciting.
Storytelling & Depth: Go deep – at the heart of every good character is a story; a dilemma they struggle with, a past that holds them back, a grand ambition that drives their choices. Our AI story generator is at your disposal.
Community Guidelines: We want you to get creative, not banned! Please respect the community guidelines and our terms of service.

When your kyn is ready, navigate to the contest page and submit it before the deadline. The Kyn Creation Contests are open to everyone in the community, making them both accessible and highly competitive.

Get Inspired

To gain some inspiration for your entry, you can view our previous winners. Our contests have covered a wide range of playful categories. Some past themes include Forbidden Feast – A tantalizing contest for kyns that seduce through hospitality, Space Colonist Contest – featuring kyns that live among the stars, and Romantic Archetypes Contest – a contest for kyns based in both classic and modern romantic archetypes.

We also like to incorporate holidays into our contests. Previous competitions like our Christmas Spirit Contest and Halloween AI Character Creation Contest were a fun way to get into the spirit of the festivities with the community. With over 25 contest categories to dive into, there are plenty of previous winning kyns to help kickstart your creativity.

Judging and Prizes

The high standard of talent, creativity, and originality that the Kyn Creation Contests attract makes judging a real challenge. Thankfully, the Soulkyn team doesn’t have to do it alone. While 5 winners are selected by us, the other 5 winning entries are selected by the community. Each winner from the Soulkyn Picks and the Community Picks groups will receive 1000 souls, 9 personas, and a badge of achievement.

Along with ten official winners selected each month, Soulkyn also recognizes outstanding entries through our Soulkyn’s Special Picks. These special mentions highlight creators who demonstrated exceptional creativity or an original storytelling approach. These kyns may not have taken the top prizes, but they still brought something valuable to our community that deserves to be recognized.
