Best AI Companion Designs: April Winners & New May Contest

Every month, we launch an AI companion and AI character design contest to kickstart our community’s creativity. The deal is simple. We pick a theme and participants use Soulkyn’s AI character design tools like our AI story generator to build character backstories and AI image generator to bring them to life. For our April contest, our theme was ‘Thornfall – Roots of War.’

In this dark fantasy world, every living being is a plant fighting to survive as vital resources dwindle in a plague-ravaged land. Your challenge was to create an AI girlfriend or AI boyfriend that could endure this botanical hellscape.

The results didn’t disappoint. Entries ranged from thorned outcasts to seductive enforcers and protective sky sentinels. We were impressed by the rich AI prompts that were developed into original characters for AI roleplay. We were floored by the level of creativity and talent that the Soulkyn community displayed in their designs for the April contest. The entries below stood out because they captured the spirit of the contest and showcased originality.

Cholla

She’s prickly, sure, but that only adds to her charm. For Cholla, this creator leaned into the lore of Thornfall, creating an imaginative character with the defensive exterior needed to survive in this deadly world.

GardenGirls

White Rose

Thornfall: The Hidden Glade

Aelori is the dryad guardian of Thornfall. She rules the Hidden Glade, an RPG that sets you on the path of nurturing the plant girls, creating new species and expanding into the barren wasteland. Handle your resources and defenses well in this RPG to unlock upgrades.

Lycoris Radiata

May AI Companion Design Contest: Press Start: Kyn of the Game

For our May contest, we want you to create an AI character who lives inside a video game. The vibe? That’s your choice. If you want to create a virtual girlfriend that lives inside a retro 8-bit game or an AI companion in AAA realism, go crazy. You set the genre, the aesthetic, and the rules.
