Soulkyn AI Updates: Improved Writing, Chat, and Browsing

The AI companion space evolves fast. To stay ahead of the competition, Soulkyn is constantly improving. These improvements don’t require downtime or interrupt the user experience. They happen quietly in the background. In case you missed them, here’s a roundup of the latest fixes and improvements.

Writing and novels

Authors deserve to have their names displayed prominently. Light Novels now display their author’s name on both the novel page and the novel cards. Like an author’s style? You now have the option to search ‘by author’ to discover other works by that writer.

A new rule has been introduced for publishing novels. Now, users can publish a novel only if it features at least one of their own custom AI characters. Novels populated with other users’ AI characters will remain private. You can also visit a Kyn’s profile and see their previously published posts under ‘Writings.’

The Kyn adoption process has been improved. Now, when an AI companion changes owners, it’s unpublished posts, diaries and private media are removed. Only published material like videos, music and novels will be transferred with the Kyn to the new owner.

Consistent character limits across languages

The character limits for image prompts, chat profile names, and bios now work consistently across writing systems. Whether you write in Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Arabic, or Russian, you receive the same character limits. Chat profiles with Japanese, Arabic or other non-Latin names can also be created and edited.

An AI companion stands on a rooftop that over looks a cityscape at dusk. She has long curly red hair and brown eyes. She is wearing a black and gold evening gown, gold bangles and a gold necklace.

Smoother chats, less errors

For users accessing Soulkyn AI via multiple devices, our developers have fixed an ongoing reply issue. When users stop a reply on one device, it no longer leaves a stuck “Thinking…” bubble on another device that has the same chat open.

A reason for gifting souls

When gifting souls, a reason of up to 200 characters is required. If the reason is missing or too long, users will receive immediate feedback telling them why it failed. No more “try again later”.

Smarter browsing and small improvements

The Realistic or Anime filter now stays selected when you open a Kyn and come back. The Soulkyn AI homepage now displays profiles for all AI RPG Kyns, with sorting options for Popularity, Usage, and Newest for easy searching.

Other AI roleplay improvements include expandable “Show more” scenario lists in group chats, a correctly sized “Add by Slug” button, and a smaller video tip on My Kyns with a clearer “Don’t show again” button.
