How to Create a Custom AI Companion

There are five ways to create an AI girlfriend on Soulkyn: Create, Create with AI, Spin the Wheel, Breed or Import. Before we venture forth, there’s something you should keep in mind. We understand that just like people, AI companions can evolve over time. And sometimes, that evolution needs to be reflected in aspects of their character or appearance. Need to add a long-lost twin to their backstory? Go right ahead. Want to switch from a blond to a brunette? Be our guest. However, once you have entered your companion’s name, gender, and character type, those details cannot be changed in order to maintain your AI character’s core identity.

Create

This option puts you completely in the driver’s seat. Think of it as building your AI companion from scratch, giving you granular control over the outcome. You decide on everything from eye color to their preferences. Top tip: if you choose Create, it’s worth investing time into fleshing out your AI girlfriend’s backstory. An in-depth backstory can be key to evolving a basic AI chatbot into an AI character with personality.

Create with AI

This option lets the AI do the heavy lifting. It’s a quick process based on some basic inputs like physical appearance, style, and behavior. The results can be surprising so this option will appeal to those who want to keep control but still like an element of mystery in their companion.

Spin the Wheel

This is the wildcard option. You get a handful of basic input options like gender, name, image model, and character type but that’s it. When you spin the wheel, you kiss goodbye to any agency you had in this process and let fate decide. This is an exciting option because it’s always fun to see what kind of unique kyn will be generated.

Breed

This unique option allows you to select two “parent” kyns that you can breed to create a new, original AI companion. Note: the parent kyns must be your own original kyns. To use ‘Breed,’ simply select the parent kyns along with the new kyn’s gender, name, image model and hit ‘Create child.’ The AI will then blend both parent kyns’ characteristics and physical features to produce the new kyn. Import

Import is a feature that allows you to import characters created on other AI companion platforms into Soulkyn. But did you know that this feature also allows you to create a random kyn from an image? Simply upload the image you wish to create from and enter a few basic inputs like name, gender, image model, character type and hit ‘Create.’
