Soulkyn is an ever-evolving AI roleplay platform. Our developers work hard behind the scenes, adding and refining features to create a truly immersive experience. Our latest product feature is Jev, a new AI decision model. Running on our platform’s own servers, Jev helps Soulkyn AI make faster decisions. Jev is the underlying technology that’s already powering several Soulkyn Features. Here’s how this new technology improves the user experience.

What Is Jev?

Jev is an AI decision model that handles tasks. Previously, Soulkyn AI used an LLM to make decisions. To handle the task, the LLM would generate text. Jev makes those same decisions without generating text, in a fraction of a second. It takes the question or task, delivers possible answers and assigns a confidence score to each one. Jev is honest. If Jev says it’s 90% confident, it’s right about 90% of the time, so we know exactly when to trust it and when to double-check.

Jev is powered by Blink v0.1, a publicly available AI model released on Hugging Face under the Pixilab name. The model is designed to handle decisions involving context, humor and reasoning. It can detect sarcasm so well that it can match a New Yorker cartoon to its corresponding caption and its reasoning skills have allowed it to piece together clues and solve murder mysteries.

How Jev Improves the Soulkyn Experience

An advanced memory system is the key feature that separates an AI companion from an AI chatbot. An immersive AI companion has the ability to recall important memories from previous interactions. Jev helps your AI companion find relevant memories from past conversations that the Soulkyn AI system may have missed. It manages Lovense toys, making decisions about when the toy starts, stops and how strongly it operates during an AI roleplay.

A brunette AI companion sits at a kitchen counter holding her phone. She is wearing earrings, a necklace, a black tank top and baggy denim jeans. An iced-coffee rests on the counter. The AI companion stares at the viewer with suspicion.

Image prompts are reviewed, whether you’re generating AI images or experimenting with a new visual style, Jev checks prompts against Soulkyn’s rules. Jev also determines which kyn responds next in an AI group chat. By considering the context of the conversation and the personalities of the AI characters involved, Jev help makes group chat interactions feel more natural.

What’s Next for Jev?

Our developers are taking Jev in some exciting directions. In the future, Jev will be expanded across the platform. It will allow users to become the directors of their AI group chat by adding a bar that controls the liveliness of the group. Lowering the bar will allow several Kyns to jump into the conversation at once. Raising it will ensure only the kyn that should be talking will speak. The same bar can be added to individual Kyns. Lowering the bar will ensure a kyn can’t resist chiming in, while raising it will make your kyn more introverted, only talking when it’s their turn.

Another possible application will allow Kyns to play the Soulkyn trading card game against users. Jev will allow Kyns to select which card to play during a game. Jev could also automatically fill in personality types and tags when a Kyn card is saved.

Although these developments haven’t been integrated yet, they offer a glimpse of how Jev could support future improvements on Soulkyn. As our platform continues to integrate Jev, users can expect this decision-making technology to support more features across Soulkyn.
